Privacy notice

Your information,
handled clearly.

This notice explains what the independent Cade Labs website does and does not collect, and what happens if you contact Cade Labs by email or arrange a discovery call.

Last updated: 9 October 2026

1. Who is responsible

Cade Labs is the data controller for personal information sent directly to Cade Labs.

For privacy questions or requests, email hello@cadelabs.co.uk.

2. Information you choose to send

This website does not collect direct form submissions. The discovery booking link opens Calendly in a new tab. Booking details entered on Calendly are handled by Calendly and shared with Cade Labs. The alternative email link opens a pre-addressed draft in your email application; that draft is not sent until you choose to send it.

If you email Cade Labs, the message may include:

  • your name and email address;
  • your business name and role, if you provide them;
  • the information you include in your message; and
  • subsequent correspondence about your enquiry.

When using Calendly, the information may include your name, email address, telephone number for an outbound call, selected time and time zone, plus optional preparation notes. Google Calendar also receives scheduling details to reserve the time.

Please do not include passwords, payment details, health information or other highly sensitive information in an email or booking form.

3. Business Friction Check

The Business Friction Check is entirely client-side. Answers are held temporarily in the open page so it can calculate the immediate result. They are not transmitted to Cade Labs, stored in local storage or session storage, placed in the URL or used for answer-level analytics.

Using “Copy result” copies the summary to your device clipboard. Using “Print result” opens your browser or device print controls. Cade Labs does not receive either output.

4. Why enquiry and booking information is used

Enquiry and booking information is used to:

  • read and respond to your message;
  • schedule, confirm, reschedule or cancel a discovery call you request;
  • understand whether Cade Labs can help;
  • take steps you request before entering into a possible contract; and
  • maintain proportionate records of business communications.

The relevant lawful bases are taking steps at your request before a possible contract and Cade Labs’ legitimate interests in responding to genuine business enquiries and maintaining proportionate records.

5. Service providers and international processing

Email is received through the Gmail service associated with the published Cade Labs address. Your email provider also handles the message you send. Booking information supplied on Calendly is processed by Calendly and synchronised with the host's Google Calendar. These providers may process information across countries under their service and data-protection arrangements. Please review the Calendly privacy information before submitting a booking.

This version of the website is hosted through Cloudflare. Cloudflare delivers the site files and may process limited technical request data, such as IP address, request details and browser or device information, to provide, secure and operate the hosting service.

Cloudflare also currently provides Web Analytics and real-user performance measurement through a browser beacon. Cloudflare states that this measurement does not use cookies, localStorage or other client-side state for analytics and does not fingerprint individuals for analytics. On this Cloudflare-proxied site, the automatically injected beacon sends its measurements back through this domain's/cdn-cgi/rum endpoint.

Cloudflare may process this technical data in more than one country under its service and data-protection arrangements. This notice will be updated if the hosting arrangement or website services materially change.

6. How long enquiry and booking records are kept

Enquiries and booking details that do not lead to work are normally retained by Cade Labs for no longer than 12 months after the last meaningful contact, then deleted or anonymised. External providers may apply their own retention periods.

If an enquiry leads to a client relationship, relevant correspondence may become part of the business record and may be kept for up to six years where needed for contractual, tax, accounting or legal purposes.

7. Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct, erase or restrict the use of your personal information, receive a portable copy, and object to processing based on legitimate interests.

You can object to use of your information based on legitimate interests at any time by emailing Cade Labs.

Cade Labs may need to confirm your identity before completing a request. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.

8. Cookies and technical data

Cade Labs does not use advertising cookies or answer-level analytics on this website. If you follow the booking link, Calendly operates its own website and privacy and cookie arrangements. Cloudflare may process basic technical logs needed to deliver, secure and maintain the hosting service and currently provides cookie-free Web Analytics / real-user performance measurement through its browser beacon. Those measurements are separate from the answers entered into the Business Friction Check, which remain in the open page as described above.

9. Changes to this notice

This page will be updated if the website, suppliers or uses of personal information materially change. The date at the top shows the latest revision.
